火腿煮大白菜 Boiled White Cabbage And Ham Soup






雪櫃有一大包鹹火腿未用過,今日切一舊出來煮大白菜。



簡簡單單,有菜食有湯飲,火腿煮完仲可以切絲食番添。



大白菜一斤11元,洗淨然後裁切一下,例如將大塊既莖葉一開三。菜頭一開二。

火腿沖洗乾淨切片,另加多量薑片,放入大滾水中先煲個火腿湯底,煲至湯色變微白。



此時落白菜,加蓋煮滾再煮十幾分鐘至菜腍身即成,如果鍾意食腍至爛既白菜,可以繼續煮至合心水為止。



本來想落埋上次用剩既半包鮮白果,但係打開包裝發覺已經變左味,冇落。

如果落埋白果,味道同湯色效果會更加好。

  5. For my past 34 years of living in U.S. both the East Coast & the West, I could not find this 金華火腿 for sale, since the FDA banned the importation of this kind of ham. What do the restaurants use to make "Top Soup"? The chefs use our Virginia Ham to substitute the 金華火腿. You have to clean up all the salt from the ham, then sprinkle the ham with rock sugar, steam the ham for a half an hour, then wash the sugar away. Now slice the ham into pieces for cooking soup

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge about Virginia Ham. I think I haven't seen this Ham.
    Does it taste like Kim Wah Ham?

    Yes,it taste exactly like Kam Wah Ham. You may be find them at those foreign stores which sell Italian Pa Ma Ham.
