芋頭炆腩排


芋頭一個6元斤。豬腩排兩條29元。


芋頭切件備用。豬腩排洗淨,落老抽、生抽、糖、鹽、酒、粟粉醃勻備用。


薑蒜爆鑊,放入醃夠時間既腩排爆炒至表面轉色。


放腩排入瓦煲,落水炆煮至全熟至腍。再放入芋頭炆至軟爛。


放入蔥度即可上碟。

    芋頭 is called as "Taro" here & are widely grown in Mexico, which is not far from California. We can buy them from both the Main Stream American supermarkets or the Asian supermarket. Taro usually are sold for US$ 0.75/ per lb.
     
    According to, so many cook books which I have read thru, the authors always suggested to "Deep Fry" the Taro first before they are used for pot cooking or steaming. At our old age now, the seniors should avoid to intake too much "Deep Fried" food & should switch to steaming method. Correct?
     
    The temperature is only 4 * C here now. I need to turn on my room heater to keep my body warm.
